How to use the domaindiscount24 nameserver as secondary nameserver ?

Own Nameserver

If you use your own name server (managed by yourself), you can use it as the primary name server in combination with the Domaindiscount24 name servers as the secondary name server for the DNS of your domain(s).

The corresponding settings can be made in your Domaindiscount24 customer account.

Enter your own nameserver as external nameserver

Please enter your primary nameserver as external nameserver for your domain.

Please login into your customer account and click Domains My Domains and choose the name of the domain.

In the configuration menu, please select WHOS/Nameserver.

In the Nameserver area select as "TYP" External Nameserver and enter your own nameserver. If a "hidden primary" is required, leave the field blank

The IP address of your primary name server will be saved as master name server IP address in the system automatically.

Afterwards please activate the switch "Use Secondary Nameserver"

Master IP Address

1 - Please enter the IP address of your master nameserver, which provides the DNS zone for the domain. With the "Add" button you can enter up to eight IP addresses (IPv4 / IPv6).

2 - Please select one or more of the suggested nameservers as Secondary Nameserver. The selected name servers will be added to the list of external name servers and submitted to the registry after saving.

Please make sure that the selected nameserver are registered on the primary name server in the DNS zonefile of the domain.

3 - Please make sure, that the zone transfer is allowed for the following IP addresses on your master nameserver:

IPv4:

37.187.251.136

66.206.25.194

51.68.180.207

Optional:

IPv6:

2001:41d0:c:388:37:187:251:136

2604:4500:c:3:66:206:25:194

2001:41d0:700:1bcf::

4 - Please note, that your current DNS Zone on our default nameserver will be deleted when using our secondary nameserver. You can save the current configuration before saving.

Once the selection has been made and the zone has been saved, please click on Save.

Hidden Master

To use your own nameserver as a hidden master, do not enter the name of the nameserver in the list of external nameservers.

It is sufficient if the secondary name servers are entered as external name servers.

The zone transfer is ensured by entering the IP address of the master in the section "Use secondary name servers".

 

Please make sure that the selected nameserver are registered on the primary name server in the DNS zonefile of the domain.

 

Please make sure the zone transfer is allowed for the following IP addresses on your master nameserver:

IPv4:

37.187.251.136
66.206.25.194
51.68.180.207

Optional:

IPv6:

2001:41d0:c:388:37:187:251:136
2604:4500:c:3:66:206:25:194
2001:41d0:700:1bcf::

 

The list of Secondary Nameservers are just suggestions.
Of course, you can also use our white label name servers

In this case, the desired name servers must be entered manually as "external nameservers"
Make sure the selected nameservers are registered on the primary name server in the DNS zonefile of the domain.
